Is Inyo camping closed?

I've heard rumors that some of the Inyo National Forest campgrounds outside Tuolumne are closed. Anybody know if it's all or just some of them or which ones? Also wondering if closures are permanent. I'ld appreciate any info (or speculation) that can be offered by locals or recent visitors.

I was up there about two weeks ago and camped at lower Lee Vining camp grounds. All of the others in that area seemed to be open as well.

Chris.... The NFS is only proposing the closure of SOME campsites, not only around TM but many other popular places.

Wherever the FROGs might survive will be closed for a few years.

You thought Williamson Rock is just an isolated incident?

It was a dress rehearsal.

(this is pure speculation on my part, but THINGS are starting to look pretty bad)
