Hi all,
When I checked my gears after a recent climbing trip, I found the stem of this cam (near the lobes) was slightly bent. I was aiding climbing and placed body weight on this piece. I'm not sure how this happened, Maybe the placement wasn't perfect, but other cams holds up well even I took some falls on them.

Just curious, does this happen frequently to you folks? Is it safe to take a fall on it if the the bending gets worse?

Thanks.

...over time cams just get beat up. If you start seeing the steel cable fraying then worry about it. That piece, given the history, appears to be totally useable. If it bugs you bend it back

Mine do this all the time, especially aid climbing. Don't worry, just bend it back.

It's still safe. Cams just get bent up with use. Especially with falls.

Means you are climbing hard.

It's a totally ruined and dangerous piece of shit now. Feel free to send it to me to be properly discarded.

You're welcome in advance!
