My Edelweiss Curve is incredibly stiff. It's nice to clip but such a stiff rope. It gets prettty hot on rappels, more so than other ropes I've used. It"s also not wearing as well as I had hoped.

On the plus side, for being stiff, the catches are very soft. It also clips extremely well.

I'll probably look at a Sterling next.

Wilder likes his Sterling Velocity over der on the softer sandstone but bring out on the granite or another sharper rock and they don't hold up well to abuse has been my experience. First one was replaced by Sterling... im on my second and it's already been cut twice.

If a rope is kinky or not is only caused by the user. It is impossible to produce a kinky or not kinky rope. In 99% of the cases the kink is caused by the biner/belay device combo that is used.
