!!Jerk Alert!!!

Somebody has removed my draws from Head Full of Lead. I know it is only a couple of draws but...

To whom has stolen my draws, they are not yours. They have been donated to the walls of this canyon, not your gear closet.

Please return them to Summit Canyon Mountaineering in Glenwood, no questions asked.

Bummer. Though, I always wonder why anyone would assume that leaving any kind of gear, especially draws, on a route would be safe from thieves? These threads pop up about one a month and no one seems to learn. I get your working the route, but if its so hard that you need to fix or leave draws, then well, you know what will happen... Silly Sport Climbers...

Stealing draws out of Rifle is like going to Washington Park on a weekend and stealing a volleyball net.

I'm shocked there is something at rifle that isn't already permadrawed.
Best of luck in your quest for the douchey thief.

Sorry Kevin you lost gear. Were you nearby? If so, why didn't you say something?

"Donated to the walls of this canyon"??? Like cars donate used mcdonald's bags to the roadside, only yours has utility to a few people

Just once, can you guys cut out the heckling? If you are offended by the draws and want to make a statement, leave them at the base. Sometimes I think stealing shit under the self serving pretense of teaching 'ethics' is worse than blatant theft.

I hope you get your gear back, Kevin!

@JLP - Approach pitch to Don't Point That Thing At Me... Only draws from Head Full were taken. I don't care much that I lost some draws (Only 4 of about 40, I have hanging in the canyon), it's just the fact that someone decided they needed them more than I do and it's Rifle Mountain Park... The draws were placed there for the convenience of myself and other climbers. This route has been hung about 3-4 months of every season since I started climbing in Rifle.

No kidding.
I hadn't been in Rifle for about 8yrs til last weekend. It's still a super fun place to climb but I was amazed at the amount of fixed hardware now in situ.
At this point what does it matter, just throw a couple more cable draws on the first 2 bolts.

Bump, I just had this happen east of the Miss. Kevin remind me to tell you of the "best draw story ever" (courtesy Rifle, early '90's) when I drop into the shop...

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
