Looking for partner(s) do hit the mountains in Peru.
The aim is to do start with easy mountaineering 5000 and then 6000 summit and volcanoes. See from there how we do and possibility to raise the bar for little more technical stuff.

About me. Fit. Climber for 20 years. Mountaineering in Italy, Switz, Canada (Bugaboos and around Banff), and easy stuff in Pakistan, India, Moroco, Peru and Nepal.

Flexible for dates. Easygoing.
Been to Peru and kind of speak spanish.

Whats up fellas,

I'll be in Huaraz from July 17-Aug. 27. Similar itinerary, starting with lower alpine stuff and working up from there. Laid back, safe, experienced alpinist, and have been above 20k feet multiple times.

Hit me up if you'd like to coordinate a climb or 2...

Cheers,
Andy

Sounds good.
Being more than 2 would be perfect.
We definitely have to coordinate.
Have you been in Peru.
I was thinking of Pisco or Hurus as a easygoing start.

I'm trying to decide between the Cordillera Blanca vs. going back to Ecuador. The thing I worry about with Peru, is getting down there and having no partners.

I'm interested in Vallunaraju, Huascaran, Chopicalqui. Any first hand knowledge on how easy/hard it is to partner up in Huaraz?

Very easy to find partners in Huaraz (at lodge or at the guide cafe).
Otherwise, we can team up for a peak or two.
What will be your dates.

Hi Guillaume and Joshua, happy to see i wont be alone in Huaraz in june/july. I am landing in lima tomorrow and will be in the country for four weeks. I'll need some fitness work the first week or 2 then would like to go out and do something end june/begin july. its not always easy to find good partners in huaraz on short notice, so if any of you are keen to have a go at D/TD stuff please let me know? or perhaps some sport climbing at huallay?? I don't have my mind set on anything specific yet, so will be happy to discuss more with a partner. I will be looking at 2-3 peaks if weather permits.

oh yea about me, 33 yo male with solid climbing experience. i've been in the blanca few times before and been on couple of the classics (huasca, chopi, tocla, valju, yana, pisco, alpa and perhaps few others), some with success some not...

Please send me a mail at ericvandermerwe@yahoo.com to chat more and hopefully coordinate something.

Cheers

Hi guys,

I will arrive in Peru most likely mid-end July and will stay until end of August. Dates are flexible and not fixed yet, I'm still in Argentina at the moment.
Looking to do some Mountaineering and rock climbing as well.
I'm 29, experienced sport/trad/alpine climber and have been climbing in the European Alps and Colorado, nothing higher than 14k ft though.
Let me know if any of you is interested in coordinating something.

My mail is tobiwegner@arcor.de

Cheers,
Tobi

I will be in Huaraz aug 1 -18. Going with group of friends but we all have different priorities, so might be looking to hook up with others..or even just go trad / sport climbing for a day.

Lead trad up to 5.10, sport 5.11c, ice wI4 follow harder, have climb technical routes up to 14k.. rainier etc.

shoot me an email!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
