Looking for a Kick Ass Rain Jacket

Hey all. I have a decent rain jacket right now, but the thing gets soaked through if I'm out for more than like 30 minutes even in a light rain. I'm wondering if any of you have any suggestions on something I should look at. Thanks.

Marmot Nano. Weighs 9oz and packs down to a softball. And its goretex. Worth the price.

Thanks man. Is it durable? I had a gore tex paclite a few years back and it ripped when I did some light bushwacking.

TRASH BAGS!!! Never owned a piece of clothing I didn't thrash.. Maybe you are like me. Don't rip another overpriced packable rain jacket!

Sounds like you just need to reapply the DWR

Yeah, I've done that and it doesn't seem to work really well. It may be time to just do it every month or so.

For a straight rain shell I like the marmot precip because it is cheap and functional so you can replace it when it gets thrashed. It's pretty tough though.

You should be able to get one for 60-70 bucks if you look around.

Its as durable as a light weight jacket about gets. Mine has snagged hiking a few times with no signs of wear. And it is warrentied by marmot.

I've gt an arc teryx theta AR black large in near perfect condition. Bomber piece of gear. I just have two other jackets that are beaten up and would not be worth anything to anyone but me. Let me know I you are interested. I was going to list it but haven't gotten around to it. I can send pictures if you are interested.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
