JUSTICE OF PEACE NEEDED IN YOSEMITE
|
Does any one know a CA licensed Justice who would be willing to marry my girl and me in Yosemite? It would involve a 5.8 climb and my 5.12 climbing buddy could do the lead. If you are a JOP you can call me (720-244-7896) for details and to work something out. Timing would be sometime in July (we would have to climb in the evening to beat the heat!). Hope someone out there is up for it! |

Awesome! Good luck! |

Karl Bralich (sp?) might be? I think he has married folks before, lives right outside the park in Wawona IIRC. You could find him on Supertopo under username Karl Baba. He's a long time climber and Yos area resident. |

It looks like anyone in California can be deputized for a day to officiate a solemnization ceremony. |

Just have a good friend do it. File the marriage papers at the court house. |

Your friends/family can get ordained online as has been said. It takes 15mins and a few $ and that's it! |
|
I'll marry your girl. Can she cook? No matter |

Thanks guys, I wanted my buddy to perform the marriage all along but read it was very difficult to get the certification. Good catch on the 720, but I live in Utah and by July will be a homeless climber living in Yosemite before starting a new job in CA. My girl is a great climber, has a lives to climb lifestyle. I think I'll keep her ;) |

The legendary Dick Erb can marry people.....and he's just next door from me. :) Hope it's not the Nutcracker.....it won't be a small wedding with all the parties on there. |

There are some "religions" where you can get ordained online. You might want to read around a little more. cdph.ca.gov/certlic/birthde… and, CONGRATULATIONS! |
