Looks like a lot of snow melted up there over the weekend. However, I wasn't able to get a super good look as I was driving past. Still enough in the cirque for water. Not sure if it's too much to make a safe descent from the summit. |

This is the latest TR I've seen from up Lone Peak. |

Thanks for posting! Looks like a couple more weeks until the approach to base of Triple Overhangs is doable in approach shoes. |

Higher elevations are getting pounded with snow right now... Might delay things a bit more. |

I was up around Brighton today and there was quite a bit of snow falling for most of the afternoon. It was very wet and heavy but not a huge amount of it stuck. I imagine the new snow will melt out by the weekend if the predicted sunshine gets out. |

The Asian dude at IME sandbagged us into checking out Lone Peak cirque yesterday. There was about five inches of fresh snow from the day before. No moats or 'schrunds yet at the base of the walls. It didn't look like anyone has been there yet this season. We did the approach from Jacob's ladder in sneakers, and crampons would have been nice to have getting to the routes. We're around for a few more days and hope to meet some more locals at the SLCA party tonight! |

I refuse to accept this. HAHAHAHAHA! It's not sandbagging when it's the Asian dude at IME, it's more like incomprehension. My experience, with said Asian dude, could have been a sandbag. After a hellish week of soul and body crushing work, he was like "dude, come up, it'll be rad, we'll have an asada, I'll carry everything, it'll be great." I asked, How long does it take to get up there? He said, "Oh, well, it takes me 45 minutes to an hour..." |

that asian girl at IME told me I should either check out some south facing climbs in Red Rocks or the Elephant's perch should be in great shape right now. |
|
So... I've never been up in the cirque. Anyone know when prime time would be? I'm hoping to spend a few days there this June. |

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA |

Yeah, well I've been sand bagged a lot, over the years by that old Caucasian dude working there. |
