Hey guys, I'm gona be headed to Seattle the 22nd, looking to do some rock scrambling. I will have sport climbing ( 70m, 15 qd, harness, shoes) gear with me, but I'm down to do anything. Would be really psyched to boulder at leavenworth. Does anyone onow where I could possibly obtain a pad for a week? Il be in town until the 30th or so. My Only transportation is by foot and thumb so a heads up would be rad. Any beta on a really cheap campground/ place to squat near leavenworth would be greatly appreciated. Email me at alh2411@gmail.com. cheers!

Seattle Bouldering Project rents pads... not sure on the rates but I'm pretty sure they're reasonable. i'd be happy to take you out climbing but i'm swamped during the work week and i'll be heading outta town for Memorial Day weekend... you could try to find partners at SBP. Seems like the outdoor climbing community there is big and friendly.

You could also cross post to cascadeclimbers.com

I have a feeling you could show up in leavenworth without a pad and just hang out at the forest lands or mad meadows and meet people to climb with this time of year. It might be a bit slower mid week, but I bet there will still be people.

Leavenworth Mtn Sports in L-Town rents pads, there are also fairly cheap amtrak tickets from seattle to leavenworth. Drop me a PM and we can get out

I'll second the amtrak ticket, it's not too expensive, and you'll be able to set your own timeline. If you want to do more than boulder, there's a few areas you can access with just rope and quickdraws too, check out rattlesnake rock, drip wall, and condophormine addiction.

Sweet, thanks for all the responses and beta guys. Any word on where to camp at?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
