Input on most beautiful CO crags for photos / wow factor? Note: RMNP is NOT a crag. If it were, it would obviously take the cake.
The Garden is pretty, if you crop out all the tourists that is. The red sandstone and blue skies are pretty cool. Eldo and the Flatirons are also really pretty. Lots of bright colors of lichen on red stone with blue skies. That would be my vote. I'd bet anything with aspens around looks awesome in the fall. Lumpy, Indy Pass, etc.
Red Rocks Canyon has the same rock as Garden of the Gods, in somewhat less striking formations, but far smaller crowds
My favorite 2 would be from the top of Shirt tail in Eldo and the pipeline area in Telluride
I'd have to say either Taylor Caynon Or Spring Creek in the Gunnison/Crested Butte Valley. Both have stunning views and contain some quality rock.
admittedly biased b/c it's my home crag
Cyn Pin game over
The crags themselves are a bit meh, but Lime Creek's surroundings are off the chain. I've only seen this on the web, but offer it up for consideration. For that matter, the Gunnison and Durango boys ought to get in on this before the Front Rangers claim premature victory.
Not a crag but the klettergarden is really photogenic.
