Pagosa Springs camping

Any recommendations for camping near by the Piedra River crags?

did you notice the Sportman's Campground just down the road from the entrance to the canyon (found via google maps)? sportsmanscampground.com/

Alternatively, Pagosa is a very cool town. Definitely worth your hard earned cash for a room and some delicious food.

the Piedra River trail that takes you by the routes is #9. There are many campgrounds listed on this map.

Try around the turkey springs road area. Some fun mtn biking around there too. Road about a mile or so up turkey springs road on left works good or further on out towards Brockover (left) also works. Turkey springs road is just past where the road out to piedra canyon crosses the cattle guard and turns to dirt
