Sentinel descent conditions

Has anyone climbed the steck-salathé yet this year? I've read the descent can be icy and dangerous in early season. We did E-butt of MC last month and it was pretty sketchy on the way down, trying to avoid a similar experience.

Lot of snow in the gully 2 weeks ago. Observed from the other side ( Good book).
