Ryder Stroud > Bee Gorge, "Baihe" (White River) Valley, Miyun County, Beijing Municipality, China

Baihe is a long, winding river gorge to the northeast of Beijing. RThe rock is granite, and some of the areas sit beneath portions of the legendary Great Wall! There are about a dozen different climbing areas with the most developed being "Bee Gorge." Climbs are predominantly sport, but there are some quality trad lines in the canyon. Some of the sport routes can be led on gear, too. <br> <br> That being said: this area, and Bee Gorge as a whole, is still underdeveloped. It is so big, running for miles to the NW. <br> <br> These photos will be a part of a broader area page that is currently under construction.
