This is the final log in the "new" trail that doesn't touch the ground once.
We couldn't figure out how to get to the base of The Malamute but at least I got some good photos.
A beautiful place. Too bad for the industrial area.

Agreed, funny how there is such a concentration of activity in this little valley. The corridor forces the highway, railway, shipping, logging, tourism including us climbers into one messy stew of noise and yet it is still quite beautiful. I don't know when this was filled in , but where you are standing in this picture used to be tide flats in the bay in the 1990's.
