Greyrock climbing

I always meant to do a route or two there when I lived in CO. And now that I'm moving back I'll have a second chance! But are any of the routes worth the 1+ hour approach with a rack, or should I just leave it as a day hiking spot and go climb somewhere else?

Its worth the hike if you like climbing slab. There are several crack climbs with ran out slab sections as well. I would say its worth a trip once if you havn't been up there.

Good to know. I'm not usually a fan of run out climbing, I don't quite have the nerves of steel some climbers have (I'll probably climb about 10-15 feet above my gear at the absolute maximum), but I might give it a shot.

There is plenty of non runout stuff, it is just lower rated grades. I'm a fan of grey rock.

Since you have moved away though there has been 2 or more fires up there. A lot of hiking through the black. Still a great place to climb though.
