Sport Climbing in Estes Park

Hey watsup everyone I am in Estes Park until Wed and am looking to do some sport climbing in the area but nobody to climb with. I have most of the gear needed a little short on draws lost some climbing in Garden of the Gods. If anybody is interested or knows sombody who might be down let me know. I'd recommend Jurassic Park, south on the peak to peak.

+1 forJurrasic park. Great climbs in an even better place.

St. Vrain Canyon is real close by as well with lots of adventuresome climbing or easy access (Scout Rock).

Jurassic is pretty cool as well, especially on the weekdays.

IF you choose to go to Jurassic, here's a couple tips:

1.) Definitely do NOT do what I did and try to do the approach in sandals. There are a lot of turned ankles waiting to happen on the way up.

2.) When you get to the location to climb, you be looking up sort of a valley. On the left will be very slabby climbs, on the right will be more vertical faces. Choose which style you like best, personally I hated the slabs but to each their own.

3.) If you're getting into trad at all, there are plenty of places to do a few "mixed" routes if you follow the tall vertical wall on the right on around the corner. I don't remember any names of climbs, I never looked them up, but there is a pretty fun one that you can practice gear placement on because the bolts are a little spread out.

4.) There are walk ups to the right to set up top rope if you don't want to lead harder stuff but still want to have fun. There's an awesome 5.11 or 12 (can't remember) on the vertical section, it's a lot of fun but you said you don't lead that hard. I would definitely recommend top roping it though.
