New to Vermont

Hey Everyone,

I'm making the move from NC to VT at the end of the month and don't know much about the climbing scene up there. If anyone is interested in climbing with me on the weekends I would like to get shown around some. I will be living about 20 minutes from Smuggs. I'm a pretty experienced trad climber and can lead 5.10 on a good day, boulder about V4 and lead up to WI3. I have all necessary equipment and am open to going with newer folks too. i'll coming back from school early may and looking for somebody to rope up with. I've been up to upper and lower west bolton a few times, but looking to check out more of the classic sport and trad lines

Smuggs is probably still a smidge damp and cool right now, but at the rate this spring is going it should be dry pretty soon. Are you on the Jeffersonville or Stowe side? I work about 20 mins from Bolton, always seem to have a shortage of folks to climb with. I usually prefer trad in the 5.10 range but I'm fat and weak from this winter.

The new guidebook "Tough Schist" has quite a bit of information about Smuggs & Bolton, and several other areas around there. Definitely worth picking up a copy.
