I suggested your comment wasn't charming, so I must have PMS? It couldn't be that, you know, you aren't charming.

Your insightfulness and understanding of women has caused me to reconsider. I don't know why you are having trouble meeting a beautiful single female climber, but I'm PM-ing you the phone number of all those I know. I can't imagine you'll be single much longer.

Thread drift correction...
What have I done right?
Listened to my dad when he suggested I travel instead of being a hermit / hippie. Led to a short term career driving ambulance which earned me the cash to travel around the world. Listened again and returned to school to get a teaching career going instead of living the dirtbag window washing life. Now a quarter century and change later my career pays me not to work, they call it a pension.
Sweet

Skat B wrote: Ok, tell me what to say and how to act as a personal favor to me. Meeting with hot climbers isn't the problem, it's how to make it last more than one or two climbing trips. Maybe I'm too critical of everyone, and I'm either bipolar or ADD. All I know is that climbing takes away stress, keeps me stoked more than any meds I'm on, and just want someone to share it with. I'm not a bad guy; just a guy having a bad week. No more fighting between us.
Dude keep on your meds. And no bipolar cannot be cured its like diabetis or high bp, just a chemical imbalance thats all. You need to like yourself more for who you are not what other people expect of you. And yes some people are incapable of holding a relationship . Just take it as it comes...be yourself, the right person will turn up. If not just enjoy the ride for what it is....

Man, what you are doing ia dissociating. It only happens to me while diving sometimes or when im really really tired , 22 hr day I had...stay low stress, go see a counselor you can relate to and stick to your meds as perscribed. Its not normal to dissacociate on a regular basis...

Skat B wrote: Yes, I'm most likely bipolar. I think at least 4 of the psychiatrists I have seen tried to go down the bipolar path with me, but that's when I'd dump my current psych to go to another psych. I really don't want to believe it. This also leads to the worst decision ever made in my life: Over a decade after dropping 70+ hits of acid (which turned out to be my last trip) I'm still having hallucinations, depersonalization, head pressure, and, basically still feel like I'm acid. The only upside to all of this is that I question what is real, so when I free solo a route, run something out, or do a highball I have some mental crux but 90% of it is "Is this a dream or even real?" NVM...it's very complicated to explain. Wow, that's depressing so I'm going back to something I understand: climbing.
Know that feeling...psychosis isnt fun.

Man I also think you should focus on yourself , eat right and get plenty of rest. dont sweat stressors they cause you not to feel good. Also vent out in a support group. Your best decisions in life are ahead of you. Best of luck!

Skat B wrote:Ok, rant over. Apologies y'all. Back on topic..... Didn't learn to rock climb until July 2007 @ RRG. At the 2007 Rocktoberfest I heard people talking excitedly about some climber named Chris Sharma. I had zero knowledge of professional climbers at that time. We watched a few films on a big screen outside. Then Sharma got up on stage and talked about his climbing experiences, introduced us to his new movie (King Lines), said I hope you like it to us, then they started King Lines. It was watching his persistence on Es Pontas getting past that 7 foot dyno. I didn't even know that was possible! Anyways, I had no cash on me at the time, so I couldn't buy his movie, but he was behind a table signing things for people. I walked up to him and said I have nothing of yours unfortunately, so would you sign my forearms? I was so stoked about his skills. So he signed both of my forearms, I eventually drove home, didn't shower, got to the tattoo shop when it opened that morning and got them to put his signature in permanent. Yep, I had a man-crush on Sharma for sure!!! Still don't regret it!! Now just sitting alone in the dark at the base of a sick boulder. Got Mr. Heater set on high, working on a boulder problem with my sock monkey "Chev" and happy! :)
Just out of curiosity, how many restraining orders have been taken out on you?
