There are a lot of travel nurses (hot) that travel with cats and dont think their life is interesting enough, wishing they could meet a mountain man. I kid you not! Not many of them are climbers but like diamonds in the raw can have a potential. Several of them are under 30 yo that I know so far. Although as a typical non athletic females they lack the initiative sometimes to go meet quality people and succumb to bars and meetups at best. Alas not much can be found so they move on in despair only clinging to their furry pets....theres a lot of it out there...food for thought.....

The only consistent replies in this thread involve either substance abuse or moving to CO. Since I've already had my fill of substance abuse... anyone have a spare room in Denver/Boulder/FoCo?

Jumped out of airplane.... made me realize life is short, do what you want, have fun.

Climbed my first 14er.... which has opened so many new doors for me.

Dedicated myself to be as fit & healthy as I can be some 8 years ago.

Threw caution to the wind and climbed Orizaba solo and did the entire trip through Mexico with about 2 words of spanish in my vocabulary.... made me realize I can do just about anything if I set my mind to it.

On more of a professional level, attended and graduated from a local technical college almost 20 years ago. Little did I know that piece of paper would mean so much. So kids, STAY IN SCHOOL!

Yes,Ben,I take Plavix and aspirin for my heart, freaks out new partners when I explain to them what the little pills are for before we start up a big route!!

Better to meet a hot chick that does not rock climb but is open to try. Then you get them up on a rope, their adrenaline gets pumping, and now you got a hot girlfriend and a climbing partner.

Edit: To keep with the topic, what I described above is how I met my wife and yes is one of the smartest things I have done with my life.

1. Took two years between undergraduate and graduate school to see the world and have amazing adventures.
2. Kept my shit together while having amazing adventures enough to now be in a good career.
3. Climbing.

Could more came to my mind while I was out for run today.

Not putting up a fight when my then wife was caught cheating and wanted "out". I let her go without batting an eye..... one of the best damn and smartest choices I've made in the last 20 years.

One more was walking away from a "good" solid job offer 5 years ago only to land a once in a lifetime career. Of which there's only a handful of other people in the whole world doing what I get to do every day, designing the custom interiors and floorplans of the worlds finest most advanced corporate jets on the planet, Gulfstream.

I know a lot of awesome, beautiful, single female climbers. One of the reasons they remain single is because they keep meeting guys who say super charming things like this.

i walked out of my job one day and became a carpenter. life. is. awesome!
