Anyone hear how extensive Lisa's injuries are. Condolences to his family. Horrible news. Glad she made it. Hope she has a quick recovery.

From Lisa's husband Alex:

Hi to everyone,

I would like to update the community on Lisa’s recovery process. We visited Lisa on Tuesday afternoon at the Northern Colorado Medical Center in Greely. It was an emotional experience especially for little Ellie who got to see her mom for the first time in more than 4 days. They have never been apart for so long.
During the last 12 hours Lisa has improved dramatically. Her frostbite injuries were downgraded from severe to moderate. They expect her toes and fingers to recover without complications but with a small possibility to lose some skin from some of her fingertips. She has several cracked ribs, a broken tailbone and a torn MCL on her left knee. This evening she was undergoing a MRI scan to check for internal injuries. We will know the results from the MRI on Wednesday.
Her physician plans to release Lisa from the hospital on Thursday morning after which she will be recovering at home. For those who plan to visit Lisa in the hospital Wednesday will be your last chance. After that you will be more than welcome to visit her at our home in Estes Park. She is incredibly thankful for the outpouring support from the community.
I will continue to keep you informed on her recovery.

Thank you.

Dave was a great friend to a lot of folks here in Estes. I worked for him for several years building houses, and he taught me a lot. He is survived by his wife and two small kids.

Well worth the read, here is the accident report from CAIC.

"This was a complicated mountaineering accident with many contributing factors. The avalanche was a contributing factor, but was not solely responsible for the fatal outcome."
