I recently purchased a set of Metolius Offset Cams for using on the flaring cracks in Lumpys. Is it ok to use the offsets in irregular cracks. I assume it would be as long as the cams have even surface area on the rock.

Your gonna die!!

In all seriousness, as long as they are placed properly (adequately cammed, good surface area, all lobes engaged, etc) you'll be fine.

X^2 yer going to die.

For me irregular cracks for me means stoppers. But you are correct sir, as log as the lobes are more or less retracted evenly and the lobes are making good contact you may not die right a way, anyway ^_^

Is it ok to use them for one of the main reason they were invented... :P
