Long ridgelines within 1hr from Denver

I'm looking for continuous easy ridge lines as training for longer alpine traverses. |

Kelso Ridge between Kelso and Torreys? |

Count Chockula wrote:Kelso Ridge between Kelso and Torreys?Decent bit of class 2+, maybe 3rd, on Kelso but you can extend the ridge to either Edwards or Grizzly and Loveland Pass if you want, How about Citadel to Pettingel? Can also extend the ridge in either direction but it would be running or hiking rather than scrambling. mountainproject.com/v/east-… Is this the type of route you're looking for? |

Kasparov Traverse - if the mile long ridgeline isn't long enough you could turn around and do it the other direction. I guarantee it will feel different going the other way. You're probably a few months out before the Indian Peaks thaw out enough to let you run and hop on this one. |

Thanks for replies. |

Vanya, here are a few others, but they'll be snowy: |

Thanks Michelle. I'd wait at least for the ridge to melt off, before heading there |

Evans - Bierstadt - If you are willing to go more than an hour, Ellingwood on La Plata, nothing real soon though, you're going to have to wait awhile. I also second numerous ridges in Indian Peaks and Blitzen, though that can be pretty commiting compared to what it sounds like you're after. |

Cool thread! |

Also, the East Ridge on the Spy to the North Arete on the First Flatiron looks like a great moderate ridge linkup. |

Thanks for Spy suggestion. Not exactly what I was looking for, but would be nice to link with other flatirons. |
