Genius.

Lets not forget you can always buy a pair of shoes, wear out the soles, then return them for full price, then post online about how they don't carry those shoes anymore and you're pissed! (Anyone remember that thread?)

If you have the exact same sleeping bag with opposite zippers yes. I've owned probably 4 sleeping bags and none of them zip together.

bump for this... don't they usually come out at the same time?

Really? I guess I've had good luck. I suppose they all have been REI brand and they seem to use a uniform zipper.

I got my 20% coupon in the mail yesterday with the dividend but the valid dates on it are 3/22 through April something.

Probably has an REI visa which gives you 1% on everything. It can add up especially if you use it for work travel like I do.

It could also mean they spent $37,200 on non-REI purchases with an REI Visa Card. Either way that's a lot of spending. I'm not much better. I got $197 which means I spent nineteen grand on stuff. Not sure how that happened...

I'm going to get the dividend in cash and use it to replace the fly for my tent which had it's fly destroyed at Indian Creek this weekend.

Heres a little game: What's the coolest thing I can get with a dividend of $10?

The REI visa is a 1% back on all purchase, and an additional 5% back (15% total) on full price REI purchases. Most of my dividend is from the 1% back.

gotcha, so more than 10% but not 20%. Good deal either way. I usually end up with $20-40. Adding that to a gift card left over from xmas and maybe I can buy a new toy.

Can you not read dude? As everyone else has already stated multiple times if you have an REI visa you get 1% back on everything and 15% back on REI purchases. Please go to your room now and let the adults talk.

Two sleeping bags zipped together works, but you're left with a huge gap between the pads.

Spent $700 last year at REI and I'm not sure on what, but got a $71 dividend. Need to start paying attention to what I'm buying so when I see how much I spent I can feel good or bad.

You can get a purchase history from REI. It is very convenient. Just ask customer service and they can print it off.
