Dear all,
I'm considering climbing at the Fork for a day or two in mid March (15 and/or 16), but a photo from March years back shows snow in the canyon. So I'm wondering whether it's a good time to visit the Fork?
just kinda depends on the year. you could climb there all winter if the roads didnt get all nasty snowy. As long as they are clear then you should be fine to climb in the sun. That can be a bit limiting since some really good routes are in the shade. I didnt live there this past winter so maybe someone else can give a road condition report. When all else falls the waterfall is really nice then.
Its going to be 65F but expect quite a bit of snow. Just ot a good snowfall a few days ago....as lobg as you vehiclle gets down the last part of the forest service road, it will be climbale, having climbed there in every moth of the year.
