If you don't want to order online, most sporting goods retailers ought to sell them, especially ones that carry boxing equipment. If you live near a Chinatown, poking around the curio shops is a good bet, too.

Whatever pants you choose, always make sure to roll up one leg. It makes you look über cool, like you rode your fixie to the crag even if you drove your beater. I roll up my left pant leg out of irony. It's hip!

An entire year called and entrusted you to deliver the message? That's really ironic! Super awesome hip!

Either Carhartt's or Arborwear for Trad stuff. I'll occasionally go Prana Mojo shorts ($10 at the prana sale!) for more sporty things.

Down here in Houston I'm in shorts 8-10 months out of the year, but for pants I've really gotten into the Stretch Zion pants (as well as the convertables). Haven't had them long enough to know how well they'll hold up in the long run but so far, very nice.

Favorite burly/cold-weather pants are some now-discontinued MH Runout pants. Tough canvas with a great cut for my skinny/long-legged physique. Sure wish I could get a few more pairs of these, but oh well.

+1 for prana factory sale. My wife and I spent $400 dollars and got $1100 or more worth of stuff. Jace did I meet you at dixion lake today?

Finally! A chance to preach my gospel to the greater interwebs climbing community!

Although I have been laughed at by all my climbing friends once I told them, I prefer jeans sewn with spandex...

yup, you guessed it: women's jeans. Available at Target for about $20. They're not as tough as Carhartt's, but they're durable enough. And they freakin' STRETCH, which is good for me b/c basically flexibility is the ONLY strength I have in climbing.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
