So thanks to the navy I've had a chance to spend the whole winter in the great mountaineering state of Florida. Question is how late does the ice, water or alpine ice stay? If there's anything left ill be back in New England(CT) on the 11th or so. I've got a buncha screws, mostly brand new a few cams and buncha stoppers thanks to a friend. Biners and slings galore, tools and everything else I need but not yet willing to lead. Anyone need a second for late season climbing in the NE??

Hey!

Ice climbing in the 'Dacks should be good until March/April. The "high country" stuff like NF of Gothics, Trap Dike, Avalanche Mountain Gully, ETC, all promises to be pretty good. In fact, last year we did NF of Gothics on the 11th of March with absolutely perfect conditions. Only needed the tools for balance and reassurance (we simul-climbed it.)

Let me know if you're gonna be up in the 'Dacks and need a partner! I lead 3/3+ without an issue. bbotelho@albanylaw.edu

I climb quite a bit in the Daks too. Shoot me a message if you need a partner.
