And if you feel like helping me remove some excessive anodized color, let's get together and do something.
I'm genuinely curious...what made you decide to buy so much gear? From my limited view I can't see wear on anything except for maybe a few of the nuts, yet you have doubles in 0.3 to 3 and you're even sporting triples in the #1! My gear is far from "worn", with maybe 50 pitches worth of climbing on it, and I still don't have triples in anything.

Also, don't mean this as a jab at you or anything, but it does tend to be the case that it's always the new gear that ends up on a pegboard. Once you start using it you get sick of having to unpack and hang up all your gear just to have to pack it up next time you go climbing...at least I know I got sick of it.

Good luck getting some scratches on your gear!

There's a fair amount of new stuff, yeah. Nice Christmas. Had most of it a year or two though. And as far as what made me decide to buy so much, *shrug* I may be a newer trad leader but it's gear I need and I can afford it. In the beginning I bought a bunch so that I could contribute to the rack rather than just wearing out someone else's gear.

And no offense taken...you're absolutely right. I still use the board as a conversation piece, although I am thinking about taking it down.

This was about 6 years ago. Unfortunately I have way more crap now. If you count all the stuff that is not entirely climbing specific eg. sleeping bags, backpacks, tents etc... I have a 12' X 12' room piled to the ceiling.

No stickers on those pins anymore.

Shoes, that's more like it! There's a perfect shoe for every situation. Sometimes you fall in love with one kind, and you better get another pair before the heartbreak of discontinuation, or resole downtime. Like ropes, you really can't have too many.

All those shoes and you don't have any good ones?

What do you climb in evolves? Pssshhhhhhh Croft won't even climb in evolves and he gets them for free. I admit I do need a pair of mocs though

It's funny that there aren't more threads like this, filled with pictures of shiny, unused racks. Good luck ogling each other's toys, boys and girls.

Sorting all our gear before El Cap. Deciding what would stay on the ground.

Jeez, I have my gear in two different rooms, basically all over the house. I'll have to try to gather it up for some porn shots!

Pythons, TC Pros and Testarossas don't qualify as "good ones"?

That's a lot of new style equipment (all modern camalots). Between me and my husband I think we have at least 4 cams of each size, but over the years we've both been collecting (over 30 years of climbing between the two of us) we have a few different brands and certainly a few different generations of gear.

Wow - you've got it made. I climbed for 10 years (starting at 16) on a rack that included a set of offset brassies, two sets of nuts, a couple of hexes and tricams, and a #1 and #2 camalot. Just about everything I did till 2000 went down with that rack.

That's a collection,,,I think you got me out-cammed by about a total of 8,,but I've got at least 45 to 50 nuts and chocks if I count my old school hexcentrics on a rope. I can't fit the gear in a picture without backing up at least 20 ft.
