Description Suggest change

Start at the lowest point of the southeast corner. Gently ascend onto the ridge, following this with nice exposure to the summit. Alternatively, trend rightwards at about 150 feet to a sweet offwidth crack leading to a few small trees. Above this is an awesome squeeze chimney section which leads back out onto the main face.

To descend from the summit, either downclimb the north side for 20 feet into hiking territory, downclimb a tree on the right or rap from one of the solid flakes. It is possible to reach the base of the Third Flatiron from here by continuing straight up over 2 smaller similar slabs, or hiking around to the right.

Protection Suggest change

Standard Flatiron rack. The good quality rock provides great protection when needed.
