Location: If you drive west from Loveland 5 miles or so, you will come to County Road 29 (also Waterdale Drive). Turn north and follow the road for a mile or so untill you come to a bridge crossing the Big Thompson River. Find a place to park off the roadside. Walk west up the dirt road along the river. Spinal Tap is a green face across the river perhaps 75 yards west of the bridge. This climb is on Sylvan Dale Ranch property, a guest ranch, and permissions are required. They do have climbing available on ranch property, but it is guided. Contact Kyle Kingery on this website, he may be able to help.
