So i am looking at getting a Patagonia Micro Puff jacket. I have found a really good deal for 50%. the only problem is i cant figure out what size to get. i am 6 ft tall and 187 and normally wear a large.

The medium jacket is a bit on the small size in the torso, so much that it would get uncomfortable to have anything under the jacket except a fleece shirt or a base layer. It is also a bit tight when fully crossing my arms across my chest.

The large fits better but has some extra room in the torso and leaves me concerned about having to heat all that extra area (This is where i dont know if i am just being ridiculous or not).

Thanks for any help

GEt the large. Im 6'3" and have an XL. 80% of the time I wish I had a large.

I'm 6' 0" and vary between 175 and 185. I like my medium pullover - perfect size. I also have a medium full zip that fits well - but I don't wear it as much.

However, mine doesn't constrict and the arms are long enough. Sounds like you might have larger shoulders - I wouldn't want any constriction. Whichever you buy don't leave it stuffed - it seems to me that the Primaloft loses loft faster than down when stored compressed.
