What would be good sport climbing destinations for mid March to early April? Any ideas?

Owens River Gorge...most concentrated climbing in all of California and you have Pine Creek down the road

Southern Utah. Areas to consider include Black and Tan, Utah hills , Lime kiln , Snow canyon etc.

The Red and HCR both have the potential to be great as well.

Climbed in the Bishop area last March.....hit the Owens River, Pine Creek Canyon, and the Alabama Hills. All great climbing spots and we barely scratched the surface, or bouldered haha. Climb in the sun and its toasty and climb in the shade for harder routes. Nights are the perfect temp and plentiful free camping all over the place....when you want to get fancy head into Bishop for a $40/night hotel.

Thanks for the responses, looks like there are lots of great options, have to decide and plan soon.

The Red and The New are always going to be my answers. Unfortunately the Red can be a shit show and the New can be wet, especially in March.

I've always had a hard time passing up a chance at California because of the consistent weather.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
