So, i think I've messed up something in my shoulder, and i was wondering if anyone could recommend a good physical therapist in the Denver area that they've had a positive experience with.

thanks

What part of Denver? I know lots of good PTs around town. PM me with more info if you want.

Go see Laura Schmonsees,DPT in Boulder. She's an amazing PT and is an AMGA rock guide and climbs 5.12!

Dang Erika, you are on it!

I practice in Arvada and Littleton. If you are in a different part of town, Erika and I know some people.

Check out Annie Fox - she is in Thornton and has an excellent reputation.

Whoever you see, I would suggest trying to find someone who has a manual therapy certification (look for OCS, FAAOMPT, COMT or other indication they have advanced training in orthopaedics/manual therapy). There are a lot of amazing PTs who don't have these certifications, however barring a personal recommendation, this is usually a good starting point as an initial 'filter'.

Good luck!

M-Nut,

If you haven't see a doc yet then please consider our practice at Sports and Family Medicine of Colorado. We're both climbers and "get it"

I went to go see Annie, and i just wanted to express that even though you guys seemed to have had a good experience with her, i did not have a very good experience at all and won't be going back. I have found a different PT that seems like it will work out better.

thanks anyways

Sorry to hear you did not have a good experience with Annie, I am surprised since she is generally really good. Glad you have found a PT that will work for you though, good luck with your rehab!
