Sorry if I missed this discussion in a previous thread, but is the Falcon Guide ('Rock Climbing Arizona' by Stewart Green) the best for the area? I'm probably going to be climbing mostly in the central and northern parts of the state- this is the only book I could find online but the reviews are pretty mixed.. Any local insight is helpful as I'm new to the area. Thanks!
Marty Maps are fold out maps that cover specific climbing areas. You can usually find them at REI, AZ Hiking shack, Summit Hut ( in Tucson ). They cost about $5.00 each, but you get a pretty good layout.
Depends on what floats your boat. Bloom's new guide has waterfall. Arguably greatest climbing in AZ. Not in any other book but toula's indecipherable low budget testpiece...
