I'll be lucky enough to be going home to NC for Christmas. Does anyone know how cold Moore's is? I'll be climbing low grades with my brother if it isn't too cold and anyone wants to join. I'm sure we'll bring our crash pads too. We're old, mellow and climb low grades, but we have a good time. Thanks.

Route climbing will likely be cold unless you get a warm day, but bouldering there would be a better bet. Especially at 2 mile. Pilot or Stone would be more likely to be warm.

Unless we have a 70 degree Christmas like Thanksgiving this year...

Normally, I'd agree...but it'd been a mid year so far. Last weekend at Moore's was pretty nice. It'll probably be too cold, but who knows...and even this weekend with cooler temperatures in the forecast, I think that bouldering will be just fine.
Can always go to Asheboro, Pilot, or Stone if it is colder.
Thanks for the info guys. I think we're going to hit Pilot to give ourself the best chance at good weather. I'm sure a beer and some wings at Waldo's will be on the docket too. Really enjoy NC. Cheers.

Good to know. I've been on the west coast pretty much all fall. Tragically very little climbing involved.
