A more fluid method of tying the alpine butterfly

I had a knot geek moment this morning when I was lurking in the solo self-belay thread and someone mentioned tying one-handed alpine butterfly knots. I consulted teh Goooogle and found how, but didn't like it. I found one other method after digging around that I really like now: It's a hybrid of the 'three wraps around the palm' method and the 'twist the rope twice' method. Very fluid and doesn't require eyeballs, just muscle memory. Especially nice for tying butterfly knots with long loops.

For your consideration:

[Is this common knowledge and I just missed the memo?]

the most fluid way is tying it exactly like an overhand.

That, my friend, is not the knot geek perspective on this matter.

I like it. Never saw that particular way of tying it before. The video goes a little fast and doesn't clearly show the "crossing" tails on the back side when tying it. This one might be more clear:

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
