Nice looking fit & finish. I assumed he was just going for the old-school latin inscription form of U, ala:

I'm not quite sure what was going through my head when I made the logos. I'm thinking we may need to have a logo design contest of sorts. ;)

I definitely wasn't trying to go too oldschool with the logo

Yo, I'd do something like this. Showing like a stalactite as the U and a tufa as the A. These are sloppy I just did it in paint real quick.

For what it's worth, I really like the current logo.

Nice mockup, Tristan! I'm already working on a new logo.

Ordered a bag mid-week and it arrived Saturday. Josh was quick to respond to my custom request and the bag looks great.

Definitely a good guy to work with.

I just wanted to wish you the best and give you a bump. Climbing is a tough bussiness to get into. Good luck (and ignore the nay sayers)

Thanks Funky!

It's really just something that I enjoy doing that provides some gas money.

I was pretty hesitant about posting on here but it's been a warm reception which is quite relieving.

Thanks for the best wishes and enjoy the ice season!

Thanks for the education, John! The current logo was a pretty lame attempt at being 'hip'. ha!

I'll post up the re designed logos as they come. One thing for sure is that I will definitely make them much smaller.

Thanks for the feedback!

Stash pocket with highly water resistant zipper

TUFA Bags now come with the option of a stash pocket. Great for storing a headlamp, keys, lighter, or any other small items for a long day out.

Not to start a fight, but another guy just got slammed for posting a link to his website in this same forum. Does it make a difference i the items for sale are home made or not?

Best of luck Josh, but I think this site could use a little consistaancy.

Not trying to fight with you about this, but I am 100% cool with Josh (and whittlesticks at Colorado Crack Gear and the guy at Sierra Salve / Vertigo) posting up about their business. To me it makes a huge difference that they were all existing, contributing members of this site and active climbers. To put it another way, they are members of the community telling us about what they do and in all cases offering both good products and special discounts to MP users.

I am 100% against spam. If a user signs up and starts posting about their business on the same day, they gotta go. That being said, the community seems to do a pretty good job self policing and appropriately dealing with these types of spammers.

IMHO this is a good forum. There are a lot of things that could be done to make it great. Stopping users like Josh from posting about their business would not benefit this site in any way.

Sorry to derail Josh's thread. Hopefully this will not spiral off topic. If a moderator wants to start a new thread about this, please feel free to move my post.

Good luck, Josh. You are making some cool bags!

Hey Ryan!

Thanks for the heads up!

Your posts have always been constructive and positive; I appreciate that.

I launched this project as a way to get through school being able to climb as much as possible while being able to avoid a real job.

If you don't support me in my venture I respect that, all I ask is that you also have respect (not directed towards Ryan).

I have been part of MP for over three years and I don't feel like I've broken any MP rules. If I have I apologize.

Thanks for all the positive vibes I've received on here.

I appreciate it,
Josh

Well said, thanks.

I guess I overlooked the fact that we do have a few members here who are very active and they also happen to be trying to support themselves. And you are right, the forum does do a pretty good job of policing the spam. This is not spam - I recognize that. I guess we do have some consistency after all.

Josh, props to you for finding a way to make some money without selling your soul. I never meant to put you down for that. If I hadn't already bought a bag from another one of our members, I'd probably get one from you! I love spending money on anything that is made in small batches!

But let's be honest here, we all know that my posts aren't ALWAYS constructive and positive ;-)
