TUFA Climbing

Nice looking fit & finish. I assumed he was just going for the old-school latin inscription form of U, ala: |
|
I'm not quite sure what was going through my head when I made the logos. I'm thinking we may need to have a logo design contest of sorts. ;) |
|
Yo, I'd do something like this. Showing like a stalactite as the U and a tufa as the A. These are sloppy I just did it in paint real quick. |
|
For what it's worth, I really like the current logo. |
|
Thanks Alex! |

Ordered a bag mid-week and it arrived Saturday. Josh was quick to respond to my custom request and the bag looks great. |
|
Thanks Jason! Good to hear! |

I just wanted to wish you the best and give you a bump. Climbing is a tough bussiness to get into. Good luck (and ignore the nay sayers) |

Thanks for the education, John! The current logo was a pretty lame attempt at being 'hip'. ha! |

Not to start a fight, but another guy just got slammed for posting a link to his website in this same forum. Does it make a difference i the items for sale are home made or not? |

Best of luck Josh, but I think this site could use a little consistaancy. Not trying to fight with you about this, but I am 100% cool with Josh (and whittlesticks at Colorado Crack Gear and the guy at Sierra Salve / Vertigo) posting up about their business. To me it makes a huge difference that they were all existing, contributing members of this site and active climbers. To put it another way, they are members of the community telling us about what they do and in all cases offering both good products and special discounts to MP users. I am 100% against spam. If a user signs up and starts posting about their business on the same day, they gotta go. That being said, the community seems to do a pretty good job self policing and appropriately dealing with these types of spammers. IMHO this is a good forum. There are a lot of things that could be done to make it great. Stopping users like Josh from posting about their business would not benefit this site in any way. Sorry to derail Josh's thread. Hopefully this will not spiral off topic. If a moderator wants to start a new thread about this, please feel free to move my post. Good luck, Josh. You are making some cool bags! |

I guess I overlooked the fact that we do have a few members here who are very active and they also happen to be trying to support themselves. And you are right, the forum does do a pretty good job of policing the spam. This is not spam - I recognize that. I guess we do have some consistency after all. Josh, props to you for finding a way to make some money without selling your soul. I never meant to put you down for that. If I hadn't already bought a bag from another one of our members, I'd probably get one from you! I love spending money on anything that is made in small batches! But let's be honest here, we all know that my posts aren't ALWAYS constructive and positive ;-) |
