harness watch

my buddy recommended looping a wristwatch around a leg loop for long days so you have a convenient timepiece that isnt on your wrist/in the way of jams, etc. i found the wristband could never get small enough. but i could hook the elastic band intended to hold extra leg loop webbing through the pins as if it were a wrist band. i hope this is making sense. |

Good work on using a bomber old casio watch. That will hold up a little better than modern stuff (my new phone is taking a pounding already!... just in the top of the pack). I would probably destroy the watch by around 2 pm, but if that was the turn around time, it did its job. |

Ive done it without using the built in elastic strap, just the wrist band for the watch and its sufficed. Using that loop that is already there is pretty ingenious though. Definite fan. |

props for a good idea |

Put it in your pocket. That seems silly to me. Just going to get trashed. |

nice idea |

Yep! Good idea for sure. I often just loop a watch around my waist belt and just turn it in toward my stomach. Tends to work well, but sometimes it flips around without me knowing and I have scratched it up pretty easily. |

You could also just watch the sun. :-) |
|
I left my watch on my wrist the last time I went outside to TR. Last time I'll ever do that. |
|
I keep mine in my pocket..for the few times I actually care what time it is while climbing..otherwise, as stated above - I just "watch" the sun. |

What? You don't wear a giant clock around your neck on a heavy chain like the 90's rappers did? And it might double as a giant chock if you're lucky. |
