Tis the season of Thanksgiving so I just wanted to post up some thanks. Just a quick shout out to all of the nameless/faceless route developers out there putting in lots of thankless hours scouting, cleaning, drilling and spending their personal dough on putting up some mighty fine lines.

Mostly I've been enjoying the amazing winter climbing that Shelf Road has to offer and been thinking, damn! There's a lot of routes down here. I don't think we really appreciate the work that has been put in for our enjoyment and safety as well.

To all those folks putting lines up over the years, thanks! You guys/gals rock!

I just want to point out that a lot of the routes in this database have the information necessary to find the developers and send them an email thanking them for their hard work. They are usually pretty glad to hear you enjoyed the routes that they bolted, cleaned, yadda yadda yadda.

That being said, thanks to all the developers, trail crews, and the rest of the folks that keep our crags in great shape.

The "Chinos" here have been putting up lines left and right. Group of guys that have been responsible for developing at least 3 different areas that I know of off of the top of my head. I don't even want to think about the time and energy they've put into all of that!

In addition to route setters I'd like to thank the ones who take it upon themselves to replace old bolts. These are often unsung heroes who really give back to the community.

Nice to see another positive thread! Keep it up MP!

Go buy some bolts and beer then give them to your favorite local bolter and see them smile.

You'd be surprised at how hard it is finding folks who want to join in on the process.

Sometimes finding f/a partners IS the hardest part. it's a lot of work and time.
Last may we had a great turnout at penitente for anchor replacements, sushi and beer.
maybe again in 2013.. there is always more to do.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
