Decommission instead of destroy...

1. Mount it on the hood of your beater, aka hood ornament
2. Glue it to your woodie and brag to your friends about your new hold
3. Replace the handle to your beer fridge
4. Cut off the cable, deep freeze, then use instead of ice in a glass of scotch
5. Toss it on the Christmas tree... you know you need new ornaments

You might consider contacting Neptune Mountaineering in Boulder and ask them your built their climbing-hardware bench. If s/he is still building art like the bench, it would be kind of cool to get your decommissioned gear to him/her and have it be part of another piece of art.

I like the hood ornament idea.... if you angle it right you could maybe get some kind of deer warning effect

Very nice. Reckon it's time to whip up a batch of Sichernbräu.
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
