I don't know if its possible or not but I would like to do some sort of pull test on a purple alien I aquired recently. It's dated 12/05 but has no dimple. The previous owner has weighted it with no problems and told me he was completely confident that it would hold a fall. How can I test it at home or is there somewhere out there I can send it for proper testing to ensure that the brazing is legit? Would you climb above it:) thanks

Hard bounce test with aiders or a funkness device?

This has been discussed a number of times if you search for it.

Edit...well backed up clean fall.

Don't know if I'd ever trust it.

In short, you're going to need some tequila.

Why not just place it above some gear you know is bomber and whip?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
