Very entertaining thread. Come on now, Ben. I know I might be a little sketchy, but most of your partners are pretty solid.

If you are done climbing with your wife... I was wondering if she is available next week to climb?

I tend to think of smoking weed as a prerequisite for my climbing partners...it's not exciting unless you forget to follow through with your knot...adds a little spice to the route In all seriousness your request doesn't seem absurd to me, why not look for a person you get along with, but it's also like looking for a chick....you could wait for the perfect one or you could say f*** it a bone the drunk fat chick at the end of the bar. Some folks have different priorities

Tell him to eat a lot of red meat and not take dumps. That should make him "solid" enough for you.

Welcome to Mountain Project NickinCO. You may have noticed, most ignore "Guideline #1: don't be a jerk" and exercise "Amendment #1: free speach"....mostly to violate "guideline #1. Good luck with your partner search.

Good luck with your partner search. Oh I've been a member for over 2 years (with a name change). It's sad how this place has gone down in quality in that short time. I still enjoy it though just have to ignore the bullshit. I've gotten at least 6 emails from people looking to climb.

As usual, Some of the flaming is pretty funny, but I don't really understand what the big deal is. All the OP is trying to do is not waste your time, or his. What if he made a one liner type of post and one of you guys ended up sharing a rope with him? Youd realize that you hate the guy (or maybe not) and you'd have wasted a day on some dude from MP. The way i see it, Nick is doing all you guys a service by telling you before hand that yu wouldnt match up well as partners. Thank him and move on.

Reading thru this tread, reminds me of elementary school , when kids would slip insulting notes to each other . Bunch of brats. I think you guys don't spend enough time on the rock. Get out there and climb, you guys need to.

Your post was not inflammatory at all and added so much to the conversation. Thanks for the contribution.

I think I've saved or responded to every one that has emailed me so far. Leaving for florida tuesday for some family stuff for a week and then I'll be looking to get outside. Probably just send a mass email and see who responds.
