Description Suggest change

Pitch 1: climb crack and face past a fixed pin (that you can't really see from ground) to a roof. Continue straight up over the roof on finger locks (5.11), or step left under the roof to a crack 5’ left, and pull an awkward 5.10 move over the lip. Climb the right-facing dihedral above following the crack as it veers left (Captain Chaos moves up and right at this point). Step down and left to a ledge and shake out (or build a belay as Durango Sandstone suggests), after shaking out, continue up the crack that has turned into a steep, slanting, left-facing dihedral. Pull the cool crux with finger-sized pods and some stemming. Continue up the crack above and belay from a good-sized tree, 5.10+, 100’

Pitch 2: continue straight above on the low-angle tips to finger-sized crack past a small tree and up a groove to the top of the cliff. Belay on another tree, 5.9, 60’

Descent: rappel one of the routes on the Watch Crystal face to your right.
