Im planing to driving from texas to alaska but want to take my time and to as much climbing as possible along the way dirtbag style. I will be passing through new mexico area with in the next two weeks or so. I can lead sport routs up to 5.9 but am interested in learning as much as possible about trad, multi pitch, increasing my climbing strength/skills, and all other climbing endeavors possible. Im a 22 year old male and down for anything climbing.
cheers,
Robert

I live in Las Cruces and climb extensively in the area, primarily long trad routes in the Organ Mountains. I work Tuesdays and Thursdays, but can climb the rest of the time. I have a space at the house where you could crash, and a couple of roommates who are also climbers.

If you find yourself in the Los Alamos/Jemez area I would be happy to show you around. Besides White Rock Canyon, which can be pretty hot these days, most of the climbing around here is of the sport variety.

Awesome. That will probably be my next stop after Las Cruces.

Any idea when you might be in Las Cruces? I usually try to plan about a week ahead.

I should actually be in town Wednesday. sorry for the short notice but let me know what days you are free to climb. also if you know of any free camping areas that would be helpful.

I am free to climb Wednesday and Friday. After that I have partners, but something can probably be worked out. There is no free camping here that I know of, but you could stay at my place, no problem. There is camping at the other side of the Organs, but it's $5 per car. I used to have a pass, but it just expired.

My email is mreece@nmsu.edu. Send further correspondence there, please.

See you

Marta
