Very sad news. Lloyd was a Pilot Mountain mainstay and would often give beta and other route advice to those climbing there. Only this weekend did my group and I see him there. Please be careful all.

Lloyd was a fixture at Pilot and knew more about that place than most would ever care to. He was an endless source of beta.

It's been a bad year for NC. My condolences.

BTW, Lloyd posted some on here as Rmsyll. This really is very sad news.

Lloyd will be missed. I hate thinking that he was alone when he fell, and I really hope he did not suffer. He was literally the first climber i met outside, as i'm sure he was for many of us nc climbers. RIP

Sad news indeed, be careful out there folks, NC has lost too many of late.
