Who smokes cigarettes and how hard do you climb?

Yes, it's true: smoking (combusting) marijuana is not carcinogenic, and likely will not result in cancer. Smoking tobacco IS carcinogenic and will result in cancer. And marijuana inhaled through a vaporizer is almost devoid of any harmful effects at all. Check it out! |

What about meth? Not many downsides....but hell'a energy!!! |

The super heavy ones I've met have serious hair issues, and look prematurely aged, sometimes with almost deformed faces? That's my study of it, anyway.I think psychologists call that 'projection':-) |

I don't care if smoking anything kills you or not, just don't smoke in Colorado right now at the crags as there is a statewide ban on smoking due to fire danger (except for in your house or car, or far from anything that may catch on fire). |

If you have that information, I would love to know what agency has imposed the statewide ban. The BLM has banned smoking on their lands throughout the state, and Larimer County has imposed a smoking ban ( larimer.org/news/newsDetail… ). The Larimer ban includes some areas of RMNP. Sorry for the thread drift. Congrats to all that are kicking the habit. I cannot imagine how hard it is. |

The statewide ban does not include campfires in existing pits, but there are county bans in place as well that could be more restrictive. The county by county list is available on the link above if you scroll down the page |

Yeah it may not really by statewide, but I think in most counties if you look at each web page...... |

Jake I was starting to like you until you blamed weed for getting you started smoking cigs. WTF I'm not a pusher but just quit the cigs and smoke the green. Maybe it's just me but I know a few dudes who say that if you climb without smoking the ganj your not doing it right. Take this as my brand of humor...someone told me it doesnt come across the web for some reason. |

I used to smoke and at first it was fine, I played ultimate Frisbee and biked everywhere. After almost 30 years the damage was done. I was having to rest taking the kids to the black hole in Morrison. I am still trying to recover and I have been quit for about 4 or 5 years. My advice is if you have not started, don't. If you do smoke, quit because it will eventually ravage you and you won't even realize it. |

you are through the crux Jake!! |

I've never met a cig smoker who, over the long term, didn't wish they never started. |

Jake Jones wrote: Good for them. If it's ok though, I'll do what I feel is in my best interests and not worry about who climbs harder than me. Thanks for your input though, I had no idea those guys smoked (except for Woods), but I knew they climbed hard. So only fifty percent of your information is absolutely useless. The other half is just mostly useless.Sadly Jake, my post wasn't towards you, at all. It was in response to the ORIGINAL post. But it's cool, it is all about you bud. Good ole MP. Good luck with quitting smoking. |

Ironic (to me) this thread surfaced. 29 hours strong no cigs here. When I turned 30 and my girlfriend was pregnant I quit, made it a whole year and a half then thought I could have one once in a while. Before i knew it I was a half pack a day smoker again. Then I decided once again to quit last November. Laid off the cigs for exactly 89 days before caving under the stress of divorce, relocation, and all the fun that came with it even though I swore I wouldn't. |

I only smoke hand-rolled cigarettes. #shitclimberssay |
