Former Marine Grunt, Full Time Student, and part time Taxi Driver/Dispatcher. It would be a great gig if I lived somewhere with more climbing.

Mastering Engineer*, mastering, editing, and transfer/restoration. Worked for a studio for 12 years but last October I quit and became an independent ME. Also, usually spend a day or two setting in the gym depending on how busy I am with my mastering work.

I'm with mitchy. Get in the medical field. Nursing, respiratory therapy, paramedic, etc. If you're really motivated aim for an MD, PA, or NP degree. Thing is you'll have to sacrifice a couple years for school/training. Or, get good at sales. I had a roommate who could slack off most of the month then make a bunch of deals happen in a matter of days (sometimes hours). Then his boss was off his back for a few weeks.

This is a photo I took in Northern Scotland in a town where my family hails. Yes, hard work runs in our blood. Systems Administrator here though. I commandeered an office room and productivity immediately went down whilst internet browsing went up. Off the chart.

I went from skydiving bum to ICU nurse. Now I'm addicted to buying gear and complaining about no good dirty worthless democrats.

Not sure how you can love the outdoors and be republican but that's just me. Depending on how you choose to look at it us all being different could be a good or bad thing?

Outdoor Educator here. Basically a dirtbag job though, so maybe you didn't want to hear from me. I post shit on websites because it the only way to relieve the pressure buildup from being constantly full of shit all the time. If I didn't post then the resulting explosion wouldn't be very nice to clean up.

I agree APBT1976 I dont know how you can love the outdoors and be a republican either. However I am not a fan of either party. I am a fan of being an AMERICAN and want the government to serve it's master (the people) and not just the interests of the 1%.

College Professor...I'm currently taking the summer off, so I have plenty of time for MP right now. My usual day consist of teaching for 4-5 hours with 2 hours in my office. I've been at it for 10+ years and teach only 2 different Anatomy and Physiology classes (basically I teach 2 consecutive courses for pre Med/nurses that cover the basics of the human body) so I've taught it so much that I don't have much prep work before I go into class, only grading and other admin/committee work while I'm in my office. When I'm done with that stuff, I cruise MP, DPM, write stuff for my blog/website (UpstateBouldering.blogspot.com) about local bouldering spots I help out with access, and watch videos to get beta for upcoming road trips and bouldering sessions. I love teaching and being able to use my free time for my favorite hobby is definitely a major plus. My boss/department chair knows I produce excellent quality students and I'm always fulfilling my responsibilities to the highest standards, so I've finally earned the right to not be micromanaged as much as other professors in my department. I didn't have that luxury earlier in my career, but have earned it over the years. So many folks surf the web instead of doing their job and IMO this is a major reason productivity in the US is down and America is slipping in the world market (doing something besides your job while on the clock)...if more folks would do their job first and then use their free time to cruise climbing sites (or whatever they look at all day long), we as a country would be stronger in our productivity. If you'd rather be on the web posting nonsense than doing your job, then quit and be a dirt bag...somebody else in this country would love to have your position and would produce better quality, making that job more effective for our society. Sorry to get on a social/political rant there but so many folks want to get paid to goof off and it hurts us all in the long run!

I am sure it is no different anywhere else and more just the human condition than anything but for the most part i am very unimpressed by how into "our self/own interests" us "Americans are for the most part. I agree on the party thing as i can get aboard views on both sides. I just could never ever get aboard some of the views the republican party hold in the interest of say another issue the republican party may hold that i might agree with and be very important to me. I cant say that for the democratic party. I don't agree with all the democratic views either but even those issues i cant get aboard with i can at least accept on account of the other things i do agree with. Politics and $$$ just suck really. Really it all just ruined a good thing if you ask me. I would take hunting foraging and fighting with neighboring villages any day over this B.S. crap we are all attached to..

I'm not really much of a Republican. More of an Independant. For example, I'm pro-choice and pro-guns. However, I think that third trimester abortions as well as selling machine guns at Walmart are equally stupid practices. Accordingly, I reserve the right to form my own opinions. Nevertheless, it seems like Republicans work and pay taxes while Democrats suck their thumbs and expect to be pampered by the government. Let the flaming begin.

Republican at heart even though I hate both parties right now. I love the outdoors love climbing. And I hate to say it but at my work there is nothing else to do but surf the Internet. It is actually embarrassing to me that that is all I do.

Brad- I am constantly amazed at the sheer amount of knowledge my A & P instructor manages to effectively articulate to us every day. Professors like him (and you) form the basis of functional knowledge for so many health care professionals... good on you!
