Randy does the County Jail feed you well?

Sorry could not resist.

I found that cutting sodas and drinking tea instead keeps a few pounds off. Avoid as much processed sugar as possible. Get your sugar from fruits.

Most of Hazard's weight is in his massive tree-trunk thighs. If he trims it down he might be able to fit into some of these offwidth crackers. I'm like 5'8" and 125 lbs with a 29" waist. All I need to do is fit inside the crack and do the worm all the way up and call it good.

Avoid the gas station burger in 29 palmtrees. That ruined my trip with Bad Friend... and Hazard knows how awfule it is for everyone when I climb when I'm hungry.

????????

I mean, I guess you have to add water and then heat the water... but how are those not empty calories?

To clarify, I meant things like mixes and stuff like that. Think Zataran's or Uncle Bens, or microwaveable foods.

There are nutrients in grains, and I don't view good carbs as empty calories since I generally make pretty good use of them.

Luke, I'd be stoked if you could provide a link to some studies that assess the effects of gluten on the digestive system of NON-celiac peoples. I understand that gluten can be quite harmful to those with celiac disease, but I'm unaware of the effects on those who can digest it w/o a problem (such as myself). I know you can find endoscopic pictures of people who have intestinal damage due to celiac disease; I'm wondering what sorts of 'control experiments' various studies have reported.

Spinach and avacodo and ham wrap with some low fat wasabi mayonnaise for lunch. Looks like pesto pasta with turkey sausage, sundried tamatoes, olives and artichoke hearts for dinner.

Did not quite get a gallon of water drank, had a apple with yogurt dip for snack.

This food is actually quite good.

I don't know if anyone's mentioned this as I just skimmed the thread, but juicing has been pretty good to me. I usually make about 20 oz of carrot, apple, orange & ginger (if I have it) in the morning with some kind of high fiber cereal, a tasty sando for lunch, usually eaten a half at a time about 3 hours apart. Drink copious amounts of Di-Hydrogen Oxide throughout the day, then a green juice when I get home & whatever my body tells me it wants for dinner.
I work an insanely physical job (climbing arborist), so keeping the lbs down isn't really an issue, but just keeping the machine maintained and ready for performance takes a lot more discipline than it used to. The heat in D-town this summer has added to the general beat-down and necessity of a proper diet.
Jack Lalanne and the "Juiceman" Jay Kordich both claim juicing played a central role in their longevity and almost freakish physical prowess into advanced age.
I also second the "Blessed Herbs" cleanse as a catalyst for a healthier diet. It can cut your desire for calories, reset your metabolism to a more efficient input-output cycle, and psychologically it creates a break in bad habits and at least will get you paying more attention to the needs of your body, instead of just satisfying slavish appetite.
Ramp up the cardio, eat less and better, and it's pretty amazing how your body responds.
Also, lay off the beer.

Have I mentioned how glad I am that you are not a nurse in my town? I really hope most nurses are not as shady as you.

Had a delish breakfast this morning: cold oatmeal. Took some oats poured some milk in, sliced up some strawberries, and shook some cinnamin and a touch of honey on. Set it in the fridge over night. Pretty good this morning. I would recommend soy milk if you have it, it adds so much more flavor to oatmeal.

Don't want to violate Rule #1 here, but I totally agree. After reading all the grammatical and spelling errors in your posts, I wonder how you even got accepted into a nursing school!

When you eat like this you will be amazed at the sheer volume of food you can eat and still loose weight or at the least it makes it very hard to gain. Cheet day once a week so you do not loose your mind. Stick to rules about no dairy though for the most part on cheat days though. Maybe a cookie and ice cream but no pizza cheese and crackers or anything like that. Chocolate is your best friend on cheat days. Good coffee is key also. Guess high quality food is pretty much key. No soda or anything like that anymore ever. That's not cheating but just gross.. blessedherbs.com/the-colon-…

Yup

And it is my one cheat...

I don't drink so i also have that savings.

I also am 5 foot 10 and 145 lbs on a heavy day. If i get up around 150 it's time to cut back for a couple weeks and shrink the stomach again. I climb 2-4 days a week and do manual labor for work..

My suggestion was to those with weight problems. When i am trying to loose weight those are the rules i live by and it works. If i had a ongoing weight problem you bet your ass i would die by those rules..

Breakfast: Sausage, egg, cheese bagel.

Lunch: PB, sesame stick burrito (~1/2 lb) heavy on the PB....

Dinner: Frozen pizza, ice cream, beer, insulin (heavy on the beer)

Sprinkle in some snacks like chips and red bull, maybe a fruit covered in something to make it not taste like shit.

Olive oil is a cold oil with a low smoke temperature. Not good for frying, more so for salads, hummus, etc.... Try coconut oil or frying.
