Partners for ID, WY and MT late July and August

Hi, I'll be visiting friends in Stanley, ID and Bozeman, MT during August and would like to line up some partners before I head out. I'm interested in climbing in the Sawtooths, Gallatin Canyon, Grand Teton, Wind River Range and am open to other areas. I've been climbing in Yosemite for the last two months and lead 5.8 and follow 5.9. I'm looking to climb long moderate multipitch up to 5.7. I'll be riding my motorcycle and haven't yet decided whether I want to bring my rack and rope or not. Let me know.

Patrick, when are you looking at arriving? I'd love to go up the Grand or some other good long moderate peaks in GTNP. I have little trad experience but would love to follow an experienced leader. Maybe a route that is mostly easy-class soloing would be best? Either 21st and 22nd or the 28th and 29th would work great for me. Let me know what you think.

well im here all summer if either of you wanna climb. been in garnet canyon all this month.

There really isn't any long moderate multi-pitch here in Bozeman. There are a handful of 2-3 pitch routes under 5.9. I can give you some beta when you get here.

If you are riding your motorcycle it may be difficult to bring what you need to climb in the Winds or the Grand......unless you have huge saddlebags.....or a trailer.

Food for thought

I'll be in Wyoming from early August through August 22. My dates are flexible. I would like to climb in the Tetons; I've climbed there twice before. And I would also climb in the Winds; I've never climbed there. I lead mid 5.10. I'd really like to climb the Direct South Buttress on Moran or the North Ridge of the Grand if I can find the right partner. If anyone is interested in teaming-up let me know. - Bill

Checked middle off a few weeks ago. Would like to do Grand Thursday the 26th July if anyone would like to come with i would rather not solo. Weather looks alright as of now.
