Denver Beer Night - July 16th

I'd like to propose a MP.com Denver Beer Night on July 16th. I was thinking of Vine Street Pub, 1700 Vine Street, Denver, CO 80206, any time after 6:30. I would be open to other suggestions if anyone has a better idea.

I have been away from CO for a long time, and I will be leaving again soon. It would be great to meet up with some old friends and meet new ones as well. Everyone is welcome. Who's in?

Fran, weekends are for CLIMBING! Which is what I'll be doing in RMNP the weekend of the 14th. I hate to miss this as I would love to see you. Any thoughts about a weeknight?

I will still be on my Wyoming road trip. I agree... Weekends are tough.... Midweek is my choice :-)

Friday night! Weeknights are also tough for those of us who actually do work during the day.

IMHO, the high water mark for the social aspect of this site was during the era when we all met at Sobo 151 a few years back. It'd be great to re-kindle that sort of event.

Nice! I've got a new indoor soccer season starting Monday night and the first game hasn't been scheduled yet, but if the game/beers don't overlap I will be there.

Should we see if they'll let us reserve the room next door? Some might describe me as a regular there and I'd be happy to ask about it if that's not already been done. Let me know.

It looks like my soccer game is at 8pm, so I'm in. Craig, based upon the # of people who are in thus far, perhaps it might not be necessary to reserve next door? I'll spread the word to some friends who are close by to see if they can make it.

I have a few friends who are not MP regulars who also plan to come. If you can ask about reserving a room, I would appreciate it.

I spoke to one of the managers. They're happy to give us the room as long as the numbers warrant it. I guesstimated 10-15 people on the low end, 25 on the high end. If we have 15, he said they'd easily be able to handle that in the main room. More and the side room would make more sense.

The only requirement is that we guarantee the server a $100 tip. I explained that, while many of us are dirtbags, we are big fans of beer and those who serve it to us so that wouldn't be a problem.

So, if we've got the numbers and everyone is on board with treating the server right, we can do it. Let me know what you think.
