Photo/topos

It would be great if the admin's for each area would take it on to post up an area topo that showed most of the major routes on a given formation in every area. I know, buy a book, but many books are out of print, and/or are not up to date. It would be work for everyone, but electronic media is here and it would be SO useful if there was a beta photo for every major route that had a modern topo/photo overlay. For instance, Yellow Wall, on the Diamond would have one dedicated beta shot with the route dotted in included with the photos of the specific route? Maybe that could be a 5-year goal for the site? (I'd pay more for the MP app if that was there.)

This is already a good site; this addition would make it even better IMHO. Thanks for your consideration.

If each of the 42,215 members of MountainProject will send me $1000, I pledge I will spend the rest of my life traveling the country to make photo topos for Rob.

Rob, the site is MEMBER driven, you guys provide the content, that usually makes the site great. I would be willing to bet that none of the Admins have done ALL the worthwhile routes in their area, and if they have, taken overview photos of them. Yet as the others have all said, if everyone wants to chip in to hire someone to drive around the country climbing route, taking overview photos and making topos, I'm in.

I'm touched you'd all do that much for me. Consider me chastened.
I will try to take my own advice and submit where I can.
